Ok so obviously you all have seen those juicy colorful lips. Rainbow colored, two tones, and so on. Many of you have asked how to achieve that look, what products would be best, and how to apply.
Well, let me give you the good info on it.
First off, you can basically use any long lasting lip color. As long as is it creamy or easy to blend, you're good to go. Use a lip brush to apply each color to the area you desire. You can create Ómbre, rainbow, two tone, three tone and so on. Be fun, artistic, go all out!
Ok so now lets talk about what product I think is AMAZING and best for this.
Let's talk about LIP TAR, if you've never use these, I suggest trying them. They are made by the company, Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics (OCC), and came out about 3yrs ago and are vegan products, woohooo! (By their new tube is much better than before. The opening is smaller so easier to dispense and you get more product). Yes, they only come in small tubes, $18+tax, but a LITTLE GOES A LONG WAY. Believe me on this! They are so pigmented that you don't need much at all. They are a "hemp oil base" product and all you need is a tini, tiny bit on your brush and it will cover your whole lips. Many people complain about it "bleeding" out of the lip line, and the reason is because they are using too much of it. LESS IS MORE! If you have too much on it will bleed, but if you use it correctly you will learn to LOVE them. They glide on wet and dry to a semi matte finish, not super shiny, not matte and they're not sticky or dry either. They come in a pretty good variety of colors ranging from browns, to pinks, to reds, to even greens, yellow, and blue. Now I know you all are like, "blue, green, yellow? Who wants lips that color?" LOL, those would be mainly used for more artistic and creative looks, but you can also mix colors together to
create your own.
create your own.
But WAIT, there's more! Another great thing about these, is that they can be used as eyeshadows, blush, or body art. Now, since they are a hemp oil base product, when using them as eyeshadows and blush or body, it is best that you squeeze the product on a tissue first before applying it to the skin. Reason why is because the tissue will absorb most of the oil. (Hemp oil is great for the lips, but you don't really need much for skin). Also, when using this for skin you will need several clean brushes, or the same one but MAKE SURE TO CLEAN IN BETWEEN USING DIFFERENT COLORS because they blend so well together, that you will easily create a different color. For example, lets say you want only a yellow and blue eyeshadow. If you accidentally go across the yellow with the blue, you will immediately see green. That's how great they blend.
TRANSLUCENTOWDER will be a must while using lip tar for anything other than lips. You will have to constantly "set" the colors when applying them. Be very generous with the powder when setting this product. The more the merrier, until you reach a matte look, any excess loose powder can be lightly brushed away.
So about those lips, I would suggest going out and playing with whatever product you like. Mix and match and create an awesome look that you like. Don't be afraid and just express yourself.
Remember applying colors with your lip Brush is the best way to achieve those rainbow and multi-toned lips.
