Ok so quick post....when you're first starting off doing makeup, whether it's your own or someone else's, it can be a bit overwhelming when trying to figure out what brushes to buy, even what brand to choose from. Yes, we all know MAC brushes are great, but lets face it, they're super expensive. Even more than Sigma brushes, as you know I really like, and believe me some of Sigma's brushes are so much less expensive and better than MAC. I've owned cheap brushes, expensive brushes and have had trial and error with both. So how do we know what brushes are the "best"? Well, there's a few ways to find out, and that's by buying, trying, and reviewing. So I've tried MAC, Sigma, ECO, SOHO, and recently a good friend of mine told me to try E.l.f. (black brushes). I have to give them TWO THUMBS UP. Well done, they're soft, durable, great for blending, easy to clean, and Super Great Buy. At only $3.00 a brush, found at Walmart and Target, can't beat that. But anyways this isn't a review on brushes, so lets move on. In the near future I plan on purchasing some Crown brushes (another suggestions from my lovely friend, Selene).
Ok, ok, ok so where are you going with all this, Xio!!! Well, a few months ago when I first moved here, I was out shopping at Hobby Lobby and walked though paint brush isle, and thought, hmmm these look like they could work for makeup brushes. I was so tempted to buy some, but then again I hesitated because I didn't want to spend money on something I wasn't completely sure of.
Well, looks like Mr. EnKore did it for me but for a few years now. I found this video today, but have watched some of his videos before. This Gentleman has been a makeup artist for years now.
Check out the video below and just notice at how well these comparisons are. ENJOY!
Hope you guys liked it, and believe me I am going to go out and buy some of the Loew Cornell brushes and give you my own review.
So keep an eye out, might see picture of me with a paint brush in hand
XoXo
