Time to Curl!

Ugh so sorry for not posting sooner. I know some of you had asked me to post on how I do my hair. I posted "HOW TO" photos, weren't the best since I'm having to use my IPad. Once I get the hang of my hubby's computer I'll be posting better quality photos and maybe even some videos ;) I had my own, but when I moved I gave my to my mom since she needed one. So anyways enough on all this lets get to curling.

If you've been following my blog, you know that I had posted on how to get wonderful volumizing hair. That a must when trying to achieve the look in most of my photos. So begin by blow drying your hair like I mentioned before.

Once hair is dry and bouncy :) we can begin to CURL!!!

Things needed:

  • Rat tail comb or fingers doesn't really matter ;)
  • Brush
  • Curling iron- the smaller the barrel the tighter the curl so if you want looser curls use a bigger size barrel. For my hair I use a 1 1/2" barrel (also, it is best to use heat tools that have different heat settings, that way you can control the temperature and avoid burning your hair off)
  • Hair spray
Section hair 1" at the bottom and put the rest up in a clip/band. Grabbing a piece from the sectioned  hair pull straight up, use comb to make sure there are no knots. Hold curling iron horizontal making sure the "clap" is facing forward, clap hair and curl down hold for a minute and release. Repeat until that bottom section is complete then move up and section another 1" until you reach the top of your head.

Once you have curled all the bottom and reach the top of head, you begin to curl pulling hair forward towards forehead. And roll back. This process will create more volume on top. I love lots of volume so I always curl this way.

Curling your bangs is really up to you. You can curl to one side or the other. Or part hair in the middle and curl to both sides. I simply just pull forward and curl back. I have a natural middle part so it just falls in place.
Hairspray is for any fly always. I don't ever use it unless my hair is acting retarded and wants to stick straight up ;p
P.S. in most of my photos I'm wearing extensions.
That's why my hair looks shorter here.
Hope you enjoyed.
Thanks loves, XoXo

If you would prefer a video I promise I'm working on it, I just don't know if I'm really to film myself and show my face to the whole world.
